Jody Dobson
Jody pursued a career in education right out of college, working with kids and their families for over thirty years at four nationally-respected independent schools.
In addition to teaching at the elementary, middle and high school levels, Jody also served in administrative positions as Director of Admission, Director of School Placement, Head of Middle School and English Department Head. He has a BA from Williams College and an MA from Columbia University Teachers College.
Jody started Dobson Educational Services in 1998, driven by the feeling that his knowledge and experience could help families make sound choices for their children's educational and social/emotional needs.

Matt Eskin
Matt Eskin is an educational consultant with over 30 years of experience as an educator and school leader in day and boarding schools. As a consultant, Matt specializes in helping families navigate challenging situations that test the school/family relationship.
He also aids families in making complex decisions about what setting and services will help their child thrive. Matt’s expertise is in finding a good-fit school, understanding what resources are available to meet a student's needs, and coaching parents on engagement that leads to more positive outcomes. Over the course of his career, Matt has developed relationships with therapists, psychiatrists, reading specialists, school administrators and more, allowing him to recommend, curate and coordinate appropriate services that enable students and families to function at their best.

Matt earned his Master's in School Leadership from Harvard University in 2006, where he was awarded The Intellectual Contribution/Faculty Tribute Award, given to the program member who most contributed to the intellectual life of the community and whose dedication to scholarship positively impacted his/her fellow students. He then worked as a Middle School Director and Associate Head of School, honing his skills on understanding the individual and systemic issues that impact students' experience and trajectory. His passion for empowering students and families to see themselves and schools clearly, make sound decisions, and achieve their goals led him to become a consultant, providing personalized support and tailored solutions to meet students’ and families’ needs.
Matt lives in Philadelphia, PA, with his wife, two children, two playful dogs and a handful of chickens. He enjoys cooking, mountain biking, and rock climbing, and he loves a good building project around the house!
